Tokyo Beer Tour: Lit 101 Tribute… Check out as the most powerful beer tour on the planet goes back to where it all started, Tokyo, Japan. This issue is dedicated to the loving memory of Richie Castroman aka Lit 101 (July 16, 1979 - January 12, 2014), a Miami Beer Tour and GPK crew member. January 17 2014 at gallery, Anagura in Tokyo Japan, Tokyo Beer Tour Magazine founder La Mano Fria aka Wies paid tribute at his exhibition and live performance. A dream of Lit 101, who traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico and Oakland, California with La Mano Fria for joint exhibitions, was to travel to Tokyo someday. And he did. During the tribute the audience with La Mano Fria took photos with a recreation of the cryptic Lit 101 mask. The upside-down cross imagery on the mask was sometimes misunderstood, but part of Lit 101’s plan and lure. From this controversy, Lit 101 could then engage you with his biggest gift, which was the art of conversation aka breaking shit down. If you see it as an upside cross then it symbolized Lit 101’s legacy to structure is life of a humble apprentice. As Saint Peter was crucified upside-down in bible history out of respect for his teacher. But then he’d explain what he mainly stood for was language, his main love. Literature 101, the basics. Back tot he imagery, the “cross” contained the all the characters in his name, “L” “I” “T” as well as the “1”. The eye symbolizing omni-vision, 360˚cypher, and the zero “0” to complete LIT 101. Eternal illumination. Enjoy the flicks…

Back tot he imagery, the “cross” contained the all the characters in his name, “L” “I” “T” as well as the “1”. The eye symbolizing omni-vision, 360˚cypher, and the zero “0” to complete LIT 101.
